Vehicle wrapping

Will vehicle wrapping damage the vehicle?
Applying specialist vehicle wrapping film to your vehicle will not damage your paintwork. However If you already have stone chips, abrasions or rust patches on your paintwork it’s important to remember that when the vinyl is removed it may pull loose paint off with it. But did you know? The film actually shields the paint against chips, abrasions and weathering to preserve your cars future value.

Who do I need to advise about my vehicle wrap?

1. Insurance Company
It is important that you advise your insurance company that you have had your vehicle part/fully wrapped. This way should you be in the unfortunate position of having an accident or need to claim on your insurance company then they are aware of the costs and materials that will need to be replaced.

2. DVS
Your vehicle logbook needs to be updated to your new colour.

How long does a vehicle wrap last?
A professionally applied vehicle wrap will last between 3 and 5 years.

Is the vehicle wrap easy to remove?
Yes. The vehicle wrapping film we use is applied with high quality adhesives and can be easily removed within 5 years of the wrap being installed.

Can I choose to wrap just part of my vehicle?
Vehicle wrapping is most effective when the whole vehicle is covered in a complete design, but you can chose to wrap just part of the vehicle, such the rear doors or side panels.

How do I wash the car once wrapped?
We recommend that you wash your car either by hand or using a jet wash. We advise against mechanical car washes, as the abrasive action can have a negative effect on the wrapping film. Always take care when using chemicals or detergents to clean your car.

Do I get a warranty or guarantee?
Guarantees of up to five years are available on our colour change wraps, dependent on colour and finish required. Terms & Conditions apply.

Will the wrap damage my paintwork?
During the application process, the team of Sign Solutions application technicians are careful not to damage the paintwork of your car. The films that we use will not directly damage the car’s paintwork, however you do need to ensure that your vehicle’s paintwork is of a sound and OEM quality.
